STORM

In a pulsating remix of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, the Walkabout ensemble partners with acclaimed director Anna-Helena Mclean of the United Kingdom’s Moon Fool ensemble to create an immersive world of fantasy, spectacle, original live music, dance, and haunting beauty. In a remote bunker, exiled geo-engineer Prospero furiously works against his inner demons and outer spirits to control the forces of nature. Poised on the brink of her own coming-of-age, his daughter Miranda uncovers an earthshaking truth: the Storm lives within us all.

STORM was presented in 2015 at Links Hall, Chicago in partnership with Anna-Helena Mclean and members of the Moon Fool ensemble. The project received special recognition by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation International Connections Fund.
